Housed in a 1970 Safari Airstream, Blossom Vintage is not your average shop. Owned and operated by Long Beach-local, Jamie, the shop is a beautifully curated collection of finds--ranging from those perfect Levi 501s to classic, feminine dresses. I happened across Blossom Vintage at the North Park Flea Market, a bi-monthly vintage market with hand-selected vendors that pops up behind the North Park Observatory.
Jamie states on her website, "[Blossom] travels to wherever vintage is loved and a sense of community is desired. Focusing on modern and wearable vintage pieces, we embody a woman who appreciates clean lines, sustainable fabrics, and a touch of feminine flair."
The little silver Airstream trailer that Blossom nests in is set up much like a home--and thus has a warm, welcoming vibe. The space is authentic to the items available for sale: reliable and well-loved. The airstream is perfectly fitted with a couch and desk, creating a lounge space for both visitors and the shop owner. Merchandise is carefully tucked into every nook. A sunhat rests on the table beside the couch, with a book hiding just beneath. It seems as though you could either stop and shop, or spend the afternoon relaxing on the couch.
The products are displayed simply and elegantly--much like you are perusing your own closet. I especially love this Blood Orange Virgin Wool Skirt. The traditional cut paired with the bright color is unexpected and modern. The slit at the side is a delicate, sexy detail--and Blossom Vintage's styling makes the piece that much cooler.
Be sure to follow along on Instagram for all of her latest finds and next flea market stops. Blossom Vintage is a unique shopping experience--and one you should definitely check out in person.
