The culture and aesthetic of Southern California is illusive and varied--influenced by many sources and outside regions. Aloha Beach Club is a perfect representation of this symbiosis. Based in both Hawaii and California, Aloha Beach Club is a menswear line founded by a collection of artists, architects and entrepreneurs. The company was initially founded in 2011 by Kahana Kalama and Billy Wickens--in an effort to bridge the Pacific and provide a unique retail concept to San Diego and Hawaii.
Located in North Park, the Flagship store serves an experimental retail location, offering visitors with a chance to check out some awesome boards, vintage-inspired Hawaiian button-ups, and super soft tees. These circular towels are awesome and perfect for around the house or a trip to the beach.
Aloha Beach Club states, "Rooted in the Aloha Spirit we curate and design products, stories and experiences geared at inspiring others to lead the best lives they possibly can. Our retail locations serve as community hubs allowing the public to connect with the tangible goods that inspire and enable our lifestyle."
The apparel and accessories found here are perfect for the California (and Hawaiian) lifestyle. Aloha Beach Club's other location can be found in Kailua, Hawaii--the hometown of founder Kahana Kalama. The Hawaiian outpost offers much of the same selection of goods, but shares a beautiful space with The Local--a cafe featuring a Hawaiian favorite...shaved ice. New favorites like craft sodas, pour over coffees, and local produce can also be picked up here along with some fresh threads.
